Our Oak Lawn location sits a few minutes from the 95th Street interchange, so the busiest stretch of the Tri-State for us is between the I-57 junction on the south end and the I-55 junction on the north. We run the full corridor from Alsip up to Hinsdale in both directions, and the towns either side of it: Alsip, Palos Hills, Hickory Hills, Bridgeview, Justice, Willow Springs and Burr Ridge.
On the shoulder
Get as far right as the car will go, hazards on, and stay in it with your seatbelt fastened unless you can get well beyond the barrier. Tollway traffic does not slow down for a car on the shoulder. The driver arrives with lights on, sets cones and works from the traffic side so you never stand in a lane.
Tolls and the trucks you see
The Tollway runs its own H.E.L.P. trucks that can get you off the road to a safer spot; they do not tow you home. Call us for the tow and we meet you at the ramp or the plaza they leave you at. Any toll we pass through on the way to you is on us, not on your bill.
What it costs
A tow off the Tri-State inside the local ring is the same flat price as a tow across town: hook-up and the first 10 miles for one number, quoted on the phone, the same at 3 AM. A tire change, jump or fuel run is the roadside service call. Beyond the ring it is per mile, told upfront.

Yes. A licensed tow truck can work any Tollway shoulder. Give dispatch the direction and the nearest exit or mile marker and the truck comes to you.
02How long until you arrive?
Most of the Tri-State between I-57 and I-55 is inside our 25-minute average. You get a text with the driver's name, plate and live ETA as soon as the truck rolls.
03What if a Tollway H.E.L.P. truck already moved me?
Tell us where they left you, usually the next ramp or oasis, and we pick you up there. The service call and tow are priced the same either way.
04Do you tow to a shop off the Tollway or only nearby?
Anywhere you want it to go. Inside the local ring it is the flat rate; farther than that dispatch tells you the per-mile number before we roll.
