Before you call
What dispatch would tell you on the phone.Battery or alternator
A jump gets the engine running; the test tells you why it died. The driver checks the battery under load and the alternator output before leaving. If the alternator is failing, the car will die again a few miles down the road, so you hear it now and can take a tow with the service call credited.
Electric cars
An EV that will not unlock or boot its screen usually has a flat 12-volt battery, and that we can jump. The high-voltage traction pack is a different thing: if that is empty, the car needs a flatbed to a charger, never a jump.
Why a pack and not cables
The lithium pack is regulated and surge-protected, which is what modern electronics want. No second car parked nose to nose in traffic, no clamps dragged across the paint, no spike into the ECU.
What it costs
One price for the service call, the same at night, on weekends and on holidays, and the tests are included. We direct-bill most roadside plans; otherwise you get the receipt they ask for.
Asked a lot
The four questions dispatch hears most on a jump start call. Anything else — just ask when you call.01Will a jump hurt my electronics? No · regulated lithium pack
No. We use a regulated lithium pack with surge protection, not cables from another car.
02Can you jump an electric car?The 12V system · yes
Yes, the 12-volt system that unlocks the doors and boots the screen. We cannot charge the traction battery.
03What if it dies again tomorrow? We tell you why today
That's why we test the battery and alternator on the spot. If either is failing, you'll know before we leave.
04Do you work with my insurance?Direct-bill most plans
We direct-bill most roadside plans. If yours isn't on the list, pay us and we write the receipt they need.
