Good to know

Before you call

What dispatch would tell you on the phone.

Spare, donut or no spare

A full-size spare goes on and is torqued to spec. A donut goes on with the same care and a reminder that it is for getting to a shop, not for the week. No spare, a flat spare or a run-flat means a tow to the tire shop you choose for the price of the service call, with no separate tow fee.

Locking lugs and frozen nuts

Wheel locks need the key, usually in the glovebox or in the bag with the jack; find it before the truck arrives. Rusted or over-torqued lug nuts come off with an impact gun and penetrant. Without the lock key, the car goes to a shop on the truck.

On a highway shoulder

Pull as far right as you safely can, hazards on, and stay in the car with the seatbelt on until the truck is behind you with its lights on. The driver sets cones and works from the traffic side so you never have to stand in a lane.

What it costs

One price for the service call, the same at night and on weekends. We cannot plug or patch on the roadside, that needs the tire off the rim at a shop. We direct-bill most roadside plans; otherwise the receipt we text you is what they need.
